Children's farm
For everyone who wants to do something different, instead of going to the dunes or to the sea, visiting the children's farm in Wassenaar (Kinderboerderij Wassenaar) will not disappoint you. The farm is situated on a large and serene area on the the north side of the municipality.
The children's farm has an open clubhouse with on the front a cosy terrace on a little platform. From there you have a beautiful view over the whole area and all the animals. Walking across the paths you will pass the parrots, beehives and the meadows where all the sheep and goats located. A little further is a playground for little children. From there the path will lead you to the village of the guinea pigs, the pond with the ducks and then finally the ponies, donkeys and the cute rabbit village.
On the terrace you can enjoy ice cream or a cup of coffee or refreshing drink, with on the one side a beautiful hill filled with flowers and at the other side very lovely hydrangeas.
