ACCESSing the Netherlands
On March 7th, from 18:00 - 21:00, ACCESS will once again be organising ACCESSing the Netherlands, a free and informal seminar series tailored to answer the questions of newly or recently arrived international families.
For the third consecutive time ACCESS will be organising this series of workshops on behalf of the International Community Platform (ICP). Hosted by the Institute of Social Studies located at Kortenaerkade 12 in The Hague.
Based on the experience of its volunteers, as new arrivals in the Netherlands, plus the FAQs received by the ACCESS Helpdesk, professionals in different fields will be invited to answer questions, make short presentations on the topics listed below.
- Housing (renting, buying, neighbourhoods of The Hague)
- Health Care (insurance, doctors/hospitals, after hour centres)
- Partner Support (employment, starting a business, adult education)
- Your Child (childcare, education, after school activities)
- Banking and Personal Finance (mortgages, taxes, insurances)
- Legal matters
- Your first 3 months (utilities, cycling, food from home, public transport and learning the language)
